If your artwork is low quality, we will let you know and recommend next steps.
Sticker Bold allows you to request unlimited changes to your artwork and digital proof for free before you approve your proof. Although we cannot design your artwork from scratch, we can make changes to existing artwork so that you get the exact sticker, magnet or button you want.
After you receive an email or text with a link to view your proof, you can leave a comment requesting changes.
Although we receive hundreds of unique change requests, the most common requests are to:
- Add or remove a minimum border
- Make a border wider or narrower
- Add text (let us know your preferred font, size, and color)
- Change the sticker type (i.e. from die cut stickers to clear stickers)
- Change the background color
- Change to the size
- Add an internal cut (¼” or greater)
- Wrong artwork attached/Upload new artwork
After you submit your change requests, our team will send you an updated proof to approve or to request additional changes.
There are some changes that we cannot always make. For example, if you want to increase the height of your sticker without changing the width, your artwork would become skewed. If your artwork is low resolution, we will work with you to recreate it so that it can be made into the size you want when possible.

No, changes cannot be made after proof approval. Review your proof carefully before approving it. Once it’s approved we automatically add your order to our production queue and aim to ship it as fast as possible.

When saving your files for print you should always save your final designs in CMYK color mode to prevent any problems with the overall color accuracy.
Files that are not saved correctly can sometimes lead to color issues. Since RGB (what you see on your monitor) has a different overall color gamut range than CMYK (printer colors). It makes sense and is fine to create your files in RGB mode, but when saving your final file create a CMYK color mode version to submit to us.

Most colors match better between the two color modes. This example was used to show chosen colors that are well beyond the CMYK gamut range.
How to change the color profile of your graphic
The color mode is how your file is set up and saved. It will be a setting in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or Photoshop. Shown in the menu bar breadcrumbs below.

Using Pantone Colors
If you have Pantone (PMS) Colors assigned to your vectors they will print using those colors. If you intend on printing with Pantone Colors please submit your file with all colors assigned in file. When using Pantone Colors make sure you are using the type that has your number followed by a “C” for coated. For example Pantone 138 C.
We’ll automatically create a cut line for you and show how we intend to cut your custom stickers by providing an online proof. You can request changes to your proof until it looks exactly how you want.
If you’d like to indicate the cut line yourself, we recommend using a vector based stroke. It’s helpful if you do this but not required.
For a better cut result, round the corners to 3mm. Rounder corners also have better adhesion as sharper and thinner corners can catch and lift.
If your graphics have artwork that extends to the edge of your sticker, please add a minimum of .125″-.25″ bleed to your artwork. Also, allow .125″-.25″ of a “safe area” inside of your cut path. This way important text and/or design elements are not trimmed off during our cut process.
Raster images are made up of a bunch of tiny pixels, while vector images are made from mathematical paths.
When it comes to printing, we recommend using vector artwork whenever possible.

A minimum of 300 dpi (dots per inch) should be used as a general guideline for your raster-based files. Sometimes referred to as PPI (pixels per inch).
Your PPI should be at least 300 for your artwork to be sufficient quality for printing. If your image is at a lower resolution, it will not help to increase the pixels/inch or enlarge the image. This will only stretch the image to a larger size and it will still print fuzzy and pixelated. In that case, we recommend contacting the original designer to get a better version of your artwork.
We will accept all levels of dpi just be aware that if you submit a file with low resolution it will most likely have some pixelation and/or blur. We will analyze your file the best we can to let you know how well it will print.
We convert Pantone colors to their CMYK equivalent values for printing.
If you’d like to specify your own CMYK values, please include that in
your artwork instructions when ordering.

No, we can only print CMYK colors. It’s on our roadmap to add support for RGB colors, but we do not know when this will be possible.
When artwork is submitted in RGB, the colors are converted to their closest available matches in CMYK before going to print. If you let us know your desired CMYK values when ordering it will make it easier for us to print your desired colors. Otherwise we will use our judgement to decide the closest equivalents.
Since RGB has a larger range of colors than CMYK, some RGB colors are currently difficult or impossible to match exactly.
Yes, our custom stickers are weatherproof. They’re able to withstand exposure to wind, rain and sunlight. All of our stickers are printed on premium vinyl with a permanent adhesive. They are super durable and resistant to fading, scratching, tearing, and water. They can even be safely run through a dishwasher.
No, we do not offer back printing.
If you’d like to include extra information with your sticker, we recommend kiss cut stickers.
Kiss cut stickers typically have a rectangular backing around the design that’s bigger than the sticker, which can be printed on.
The type of adhesive we use varies by product:
Our custom stickers and sticker sheet labels feature a permanent adhesive that will not damage most surfaces. Certain surfaces and durations may cause the bond to become stronger and may leave a residue when removed. Don’t worry! This can easily come off with warm soapy water or any type of adhesive remover. If you would like to test our adhesive for your surface, you can order a sample packet of our materials.

Die Cut Stickers and Kiss Cut stickers, when applied to a surface, they look the same. The only difference is how they are presented to you and your customer.
Just like a conservative first date kiss, our blade precisely and gently cuts the top layer of vinyl to create a peel away sticker. The leftover vinyl is the perfect area to print extra promotional material for your brand and designs.
Our Die Cut Stickers give a bit more punch where we chomp through the vinyl and backing. We will customise your sticker shape to best suit your design. Just like wearing a dress, it should really show off your curves!

Declines can happen for a variety of reasons. When we submit a charge to your bank, their automated systems determine whether or not to accept the charge. These systems take various signals into account, such as your spending habits, account balance and purchase size.
Since these signals are constantly changing, a previously successful card might be declined in the future. Even if all of the card information is correct, and you previously had a successful payment using your card, a future charge can still be declined by a bank’s overzealous fraud systems.
Can you tell my why my card was declined?
We only know as much as your bank tells us about the reason for a decline. Unfortunately, in most cases, the bank informs us that the card was declined and doesn’t give a specific reason.
What should I do if my card is declined?
If all of the card information seems correct, it is best to contact your bank and ask for the charge to be accepted. They should be able to see the attempted charge, provide a reason for the decline and lift whatever restriction is preventing your purchase.
Alternatively, you could order using PayPal. If you don’t have a PayPal account balance, selecting PayPal during checkout will still give you an option to pay using your credit card. It’s possible that a card that was declined by our payment gateway will be accepted by PayPal, but ultimately it’s best to contact your bank to determine the root cause of the problem.

PROBLEMS WITH YOUR ORDER?
If you have a problem with your order, please let us know within 30 days of receiving your products. We will be unable to replace or refund any orders brought to our attention after 30 days of confirmed delivery.
It is important to note that every order we produce is 100% custom. We do not allow returns or refunds for reasons that is unrelated to quality. i.e.- we will not refund your order if you decide you do not want it. We will not refund or reprint your order if you ordered the wrong size or prefer a different product.
If you do feel that there was an error in the quality of your print job, we will be happy to look in to the issue you are having. One of the main problems we encounter is based on what you see on a screen versus what is printed out from our machines. There are many variables that can sometimes change the appearance of colors, brightness, and contrast of your images. So if we do find that we need to reprint your order, we may ask for your assistance to get the order right, and might request a photo or further instructions before reproducing your reprinted order. We just want to know how to make it right!
We will never ask you to send back products before we will reproduce a damaged or misprinted order.
If for any reason, we cannot reproduce your order the way you want it, we will, of course, provide a full refund (including any shipping costs).
We will process your refund request within 1 business day. Once we submit a refund to your bank or credit card company, it can take up to 4 business days to see the credit on your statement. This usually has to do with the policies and procedures of your bank or credit card company.
If you haven’t received a refund yet, contact your bank or credit card company. They should be able to answer any questions as to the delay.

Fees; Payment. By signing up for a Services account you agree to pay Bold Sticker the applicable setup fees and recurring fees. Applicable fees will be invoiced starting from the day your services are established and in advance of using such services. Bold Sticker reserves the right to change the payment terms and fees upon thirty (30) days prior written notice to you. Support. Miscellaneous. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between Bold Sticker and you concerning the subject matter hereof, and they may only be modified by a written amendment signed by an authorized executive of Bold Sticker, or by the posting by Bold Sticker of a revised version. Production Proof/Setup Fee – If you cancel your order after we have our design team set up the file for approval we will refund your order but we need to charge a $10.00 Proof/Setup Fee. We will provide a refund of the order amount less the fee.
